Northside Hospital continues to grow, welcoming new physicians and expanding care options across Georgia. Here’s a look at the latest updates.
Primary Care and Internal Medicine
Dr. Brian Nadolne, pictured above, a board-certified family medicine physician with East Cobb Family Medicine, has been appointed State Surgeon for the Georgia Army National Guard. In this senior leadership role, Dr. Nadolne reports directly to the Guard’s Commanding General and The Adjutant General, serving as the principal medical advisor and overseeing medical readiness for service members across the state. He works closely with the Guard’s physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to ensure clinical preparedness and supports medical operations during emergencies and field missions.

Dr. Justin Pandoo of Northside Hospital Diagnostic Clinic and Dr. Daniel McMahon of Northside Primary Care Associates have each earned UnitedHealthcare’s United Hero Award for outstanding patient experience. The award recognizes health care professionals who have achieved target scores in three categories of patient experience — getting needed care, care coordination and doctor-patient conversations.

Oncology and Specialty Cancer Care
Dr. Andrew R. Fuson has joined Atlanta Head & Neck Associates in Sandy Springs. He is a board-certified and fellowship-trained otolaryngologist–head and neck surgeon specializing in head and neck cancer care, advanced reconstruction and minimally invasive techniques. More: atlantaheadandneck.com.
Georgia Cancer Specialists has welcomed three new providers:
- Dr. Piyush Patel is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. He provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with a wide range of cancers and benign blood disorders and sees patients in Canton and Jasper.
- Dr. Stephen M. Szabo is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. His clinical interests include gastrointestinal and breast cancers, as well as hematologic malignancies. He sees patients in Alpharetta and Johns Creek.
- Dr. Sarah J. Wood is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. Her clinical and research interests include breast and gynecologic malignancies. She sees patients in Blairsville and Blue Ridge.

Georgia Gynecologic Oncology has opened two new office locations.
- Braselton: 1255 Friendship Road, Suite 120. Dr. Rachel Brightwell sees patients at this location on the third Thursday of each month. The office began seeing patients on Jan. 22.
- Duluth: 3855 Pleasant Hill Road, Suite 330. Dr. Stephen Salmieri, Jennifer Leech, CNP, and Kelley Harrelson, MSN, FNP-C, see patients on Thursdays. The office began seeing patients on Jan. 29.

Northside Rheumatology and Physical Medicine has opened locations in Canton and Towne Lake.
